Principal Design Engineer (Analog/Mixed-Signal IC)

Location: Richardson, Texas, United States; hybrid schedule with telecommuting permitted up to two days per week. Domestic travel required up to 15%.

What you will do

• Develop analog and mixed-signal power management products.
• Define and implement circuits and architectures for product development.
• Build system-level behavioral models and design complete chips at transistor level.
• Provide technical and team leadership for product design activities.
• Guide physical designers, monitor IC layout progress, and contribute to IP and front-end technology roadmaps.
• Collaborate with product marketing, validation, product engineering, and test engineering teams to define specifications and transfer products to production.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field plus 5 years of experience, or Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in analog/mixed-signal design.
• At least 5 years using Cadence tools, including Schematic Editor, ADE Assembler, Spectre, AMS, and Layout Suite.
• At least 5 years of experience in troubleshooting and fault analysis for IC product development.
• At least 5 years of experience defining product specifications with product marketing teams.
• At least 3 years of experience in system and application design.
