Principal VLSI Design Engineer (NAND Flash)

Location: Milpitas, California, United States; onsite at the Milpitas office

Salary: $186,900–$317,800 per year

What you will do

• Design, develop, modify, and evaluate chip architectures and memory core circuits for high-performance 3D NAND flash.
• Design and analyze row and column drivers, decoders, sense amplifiers, and related memory core circuits.
• Develop mixed-signal and analog interface circuits supporting core memory operations.
• Validate block- and chip-level performance and functionality using Cadence, HSPICE/FINESIM, and UNIX-based tools.
• Supervise layout, support verification, and participate in silicon bring-up throughout the design cycle.
• Develop new concepts for memory core design, architecture, and NAND device operating algorithms.

Requirements

• BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent field.
• 10 or more years of relevant experience.
• Experience with VLSI, analog, mixed-signal, or memory circuit design and complex technical problem solving.
• Knowledge or experience with non-volatile memory design, particularly NAND flash cell operation, is advantageous.
• Strong device background and experience evaluating new process technologies for design are preferred.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
