Principal Design Engineer (SoC)

What you will do

• Design and integrate IPs in SoCs based on high-level customer architectural specifications.
• Perform Lint and CDC checks, resolve design-quality issues, and establish flows from scratch.
• Create synthesis constraints and perform basic synthesis for power, performance, and area optimization.
• Prepare detailed microarchitectural specification documents.
• Support verification with test-plan creation, coverage analysis, and feature debugging.
• Support physical design implementation and automate repetitive tasks through scripting and innovative solutions.

Requirements

• B.E., B.Tech, or M.Tech with 12+ years of experience as a digital design engineer.
• Strong knowledge of digital design fundamentals, Verilog, and SystemVerilog.
• Solid knowledge of Lint and CDC tools, including the ability to set up flows from scratch.
• Knowledge of synthesis constraints and Static Timing Analysis; familiarity with synthesis and simulation tools.
• Proficiency in Python, Perl, or Tcl scripting.
• Good communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience with AMBA protocols and ARM IPs.
• Experience with high-speed IPs such as PCIe, Ethernet, and DDR.
• Familiarity with Xcelium or Verisium simulation tools.
