Silicon SoC Architect

Location: United States, with hybrid work between an assigned hirify.global site and off-site. Primary location: Santa Clara, California; additional locations include Folsom, California; Fort Collins, Colorado; Beaver Brook, Massachusetts; Hillsboro, Oregon; and Austin, Texas.

Annual salary: $220,920–$361,480 USD.

What you will do

• Define end-to-end SoC architectures, including hardware, firmware, and functional specifications.
• Evaluate, integrate, and optimize IP blocks, including required gaskets and glue logic.
• Develop architectural features for scalable, high-quality next-generation products.
• Create and analyze tests, test plans, and testing infrastructure using benchmarking, statistics, and data analysis.
• Collaborate with architecture, design, systems, and verification engineers to resolve development constraints.
• Influence technology roadmaps, provide domain leadership, and mentor technical leaders.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in SoC architecture development methodologies, system architecture, and microarchitecture.
• Experience defining architecture features, register specifications, and SoC development.
• Strong knowledge of computer architecture fundamentals, CPU architecture, and systems thinking.
• Ability to solve problems and evaluate feasibility tradeoffs for SoC optimization.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field plus 12+ years of experience; or a master’s degree plus 8+ years; or a PhD plus 6+ years.
• Position of Trust requiring consent to and successful completion of an extended background investigation.
