Senior/Principal Strategy Product Manager (AI Coding Product)

Location: San Jose, United States

Salary: $185,600–$374,000 annually, plus potential discretionary bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units.

What you will do

• Track frontier research and product developments in large language models and code generation.
• Identify high-value developer scenarios such as code synthesis, debugging, testing, refactoring, and full-stack application building.
• Translate developer needs and model capabilities into product and capability roadmaps.
• Interview internal and external developers to understand workflows, pain points, and model failure cases.
• Define evaluation standards covering programming languages, tooling, complexity, and correctness, including unit testing, fuzzing, and static analysis.
• Partner with research, engineering, and evaluation teams to drive measurable model improvements.

Requirements

• Strong interest in AI and developer tools, with an understanding of how engineers build software in practice.
• Ability to gather signals from research, tools, prototypes, competitive products, and developer interviews.
• Structured approach to turning ambiguous problems into clear metrics, milestones, and decisions.
• Experience with developer tools or enterprise productivity is advantageous.
• Software engineering or hands-on development experience is strongly advantageous.
