Principal Product Manager - AI Assistant

Location: Canada; remote

Base salary: $148,782–$185,977 USD annually, with potential additional bonus or on-target compensation.

What you will do

• Lead the strategy, vision, and roadmap for an AI-powered marketing companion serving small and mid-sized businesses.
• Own the full product lifecycle from discovery and feature definition through execution, launch, measurement, and iteration.
• Improve adoption, engagement, customer acquisition, retention, and product growth by addressing customer workflows and friction points.
• Work with engineering, design, analytics, research, marketing, sales, and customer success to align capabilities with customer and business outcomes.
• Define success metrics and business cases for AI investments, including ROI analysis.
• Mentor product managers and establish best practices for building, launching, and scaling AI-powered products.

Requirements

• Must be based in Canada and work remotely.
• 8+ years of product management experience, including at least 2 years owning AI- or ML-powered products in production.
• Practical understanding of LLM-powered products, AI capabilities, UX considerations, and common limitations.
• Strong analytical, customer intuition, communication, storytelling, and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Experience leading through ambiguity, using data and experimentation, and delivering products in competitive markets.
• Experience mentoring or leading product managers and improving product practices.

• Experience with email marketing, marketing automation, Product-Led Growth, onboarding, monetization, or retention.
• Technical background.
