TL;DR

Director of Business Development (EV & Battery Storage): Identifying and developing "zero-to-one" growth opportunities in the EV and battery storage markets with an accent on strategic partnerships and GTM evaluation. Focus on building relationships with EV manufacturers and storage suppliers to expand the residential virtual power plant ecosystem.

Location: Remote (Must be based in the US)

Salary: $175k - $220k

What you will do

  • Identify, evaluate, and develop a pipeline of "zero-to-one" opportunities in the EV and battery storage markets.
  • Develop financial, market, and energy models to assess new business opportunities and GTM strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at EV manufacturers, managed charging providers, and storage suppliers.
  • Lead all stages of partnership development, from initial concept and market analysis through to execution.
  • Structure complex partnerships specifically involving battery storage and EV integration.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or corporate strategy, specifically within storage and/or EV sectors.
  • Deep fluency in Virtual Power Plants (VPPs), Demand Response, and Distributed Energy Resources (DERs).
  • Expertise in EVSE charging infrastructure, Managed Charging (V1G), and Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) partnership models.
  • Proven experience developing financial, market, or energy models to support strategic decision-making.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future company sponsorship.
