TL;DR

Principal AE (Full Custom Layout): Present solutions, demonstrate hirify.global layout tools, solve customer design challenges, and develop new flows for custom IC design and implementation with an accent on analog, mixed-signal, and RF layout technologies. Focus on guiding customer teams, resolving critical tool issues, conducting technical presentations, and driving adoption of advanced methodologies including heterogeneous integration and EM/thermal analysis.

Must be located in the Mid-West or willing to relocate there. Ideally located in Minneapolis. Some travel may be required.

$110,600 to $205,400 (Minnesota annual salary range).

What you will do

• Understand customers’ custom IC design, simulation, and layout challenges and guide their teams on methodologies and flows to improve productivity.
• Resolve critical tool issues impacting project timelines, collaborating with R&D, Product Engineering, and peer AEs.
• Conduct technical presentations, training, product demonstrations, and support evaluations/benchmarks to deliver hirify.global solutions.
• Partner with Sales to identify opportunities, develop strategies, and communicate customer feedback to Engineering and Marketing.
• Help customers adopt systems solutions including heterogeneous integration, electromagnetic, and thermal analysis.

Requirements

• Must be located in the Mid-West or willing to relocate there.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in simulation and layout applications for Custom IC Design (analog, mixed-signal, or RF).
• Experience with hirify.global layout tools, especially advanced node (FinFet) geometries.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, organizational, planning, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Open to constant personal development to meet evolving electronics industry demands.

Nice to have

• Experience setting up PDKs and using LVS, DRC, EMIR, EM, and parasitic extraction tools.
• Programming and scripting skills in CSH, SKILL.
