Electrical Design Engineer (AI)

TL;DR

What you will do

• Design, test, validate, and debug mixed-signal and sensing electronics.
• Coordinate prototyping of PCBs and enclosures, including in-house assembly and modification.
• Collaborate with contract manufacturers to ensure grid metering hardware is built correctly and on schedule.
• Write internal assembly, test, and quality procedures alongside external support documentation.
• Conduct research on customer requirements, UL/FCC standards, and sensor technologies.
• Support the design, simulation, and layout of mixed-signal circuits incorporating analog, digital, and IoT components.

Requirements

• 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design.
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, C/C++, or Verilog.
• Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout (Altium preferred).
• Experience using lab test equipment, including oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers.

Nice to have

• Experience in power supply design and communication protocols (SPI, QSPI, I2C).
• Knowledge of U.S. electricity grid physics and commercial power systems.
• Experience pursuing IEC, UL, FCC, or CE industry certifications.
• Experience with ML, IoT, and AI SOMs (e.g., NVIDIA Jetson, AMD/XILINX Kria).
• Knowledge of EV charging, PV inverter, and backup battery protocols.
