Automation Project Manager

TL;DR

Automation Project Manager (Manufacturing): Manage 3-5M total portfolio of 2-3 custom automation projects with an accent on costs, risks, issues, scope, and scheduling using internal PM tools, ERP, and Microsoft Project. Focus on coordinating cross-functional teams of Mechanical Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Millwrights, Electricians, and Buyers, attending meetings, and reporting to PMO Manager.

Location: Hybrid with minimum 3 days onsite per week in London, Ontario. Independent Contractor based in Canada required.

What you will do

• Manage portfolio of 2-3 projects totaling 3-5M.
• Collaborate with Mechanical Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Millwrights, Electricians, and Buyers.
• Use internal PM tool, ERP for costs/risks/issues/scope, and Microsoft Project for scheduling.
• Attend weekly Business Unit meetings, monthly Executive reports, weekly Project Team and customer meetings.
• Report directly to PMO Manager.

Requirements

• 10+ years experience managing projects in automation environment.
• Independent Contractor based in Canada.
• Experience with custom automation projects.
