HR Manager

What you will do

• Process payroll and prepare tax and MainePERS reporting.
• Manage benefits including medical, dental, life insurance, and 457 plans; negotiate with carriers.
• Formulate and implement HR policies, maintain personnel files, and advise on employee relations.
• Handle recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluations, and exit interviews.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, ERISA, FMLA, OSHA, and other regulations; manage Workers’ Compensation.
• Recommend improvements to HR processes and participate in special projects.

Requirements

• Minimum two-year college degree; HR certification or degree preferred
• Two years full-time HR and payroll experience
• Experience with payroll systems for processing.
• Strong attention to detail, policy development, and multi-tasking.
• Knowledge of employment laws and benefits administration.
• Experience coordinating recruitment and training.
