TL;DR

Head of Federal Sales (Cybersecurity): Building and scaling a federal sales engine for software and AI supply chain security platform with an accent on pipeline creation, deal execution, and go-to-market strategy. Location: Remote-US (requires ~25% travel)

Base Salary: $190,000 - $200,000; Variable: $200,000; OTE: $390,000 - $400,000

What you will do

  • Carry and close federal quota ($1M+), own pipeline advancement, and generate new opportunities across DoD, civilian agencies, and intelligence community
  • Define federal GTM strategy, lead program capture pre-RFP, and execute on contract vehicles like GSA, IDIQs
  • Build and mentor federal sales team, establish operating rhythms, pipeline reviews, and forecasting
  • Engage senior federal stakeholders, partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Marketing
  • Represent at industry events and executive briefings

Requirements

  • 10+ years selling to U.S. federal government (DoD/civilian), 5+ years leading federal sales teams
  • Proven track record building pipeline and closing $100K–$1M+ federal deals
  • Experience scaling federal sales in startup/high-growth cybersecurity or enterprise software
  • Deep knowledge of federal procurement, appropriations, contract vehicles (GSA, IDIQs, GWACs), FedRAMP, NIST, CMMC
  • Existing network in DoD, intelligence community, civilian agencies; partner ecosystems
  • Strong consultative selling, CRM discipline
