TL;DR

Industrial Designer II (Wearables): Contribute to the design and development of wearables ecosystem and physical products from early concept through production with an accent on wearability, ergonomics, and user-centered design. Focus on prototyping, material and CMF exploration, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver cohesive, high-quality member experiences.

Location: On-site in Boston, MA. Must be prepared to relocate if necessary to work out of the Boston, MA office.

Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 USD base (plus equity and benefits).

What you will do

• Support design across wearables, bands, accessories, charging systems, and packaging, aligning with product and brand standards.
• Develop products from ideation through prototyping, refinement, and production, maintaining design intent.
• Apply user insights on wearability, ergonomics, and behavior to enhance comfort, durability, and performance.
• Create sketches, CAD models, and prototypes to validate concepts, fit, and usability.
• Explore materials, colors, finishes, and manufacturing approaches for performance and brand alignment.
• Collaborate with engineering, hardware, apparel, and product marketing teams for cohesive experiences.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of industrial design experience, preferably in consumer electronics, wearables, or softgoods.
• Strong portfolio showing design process, form development, and execution on physical products.
• Proficiency in 2D/3D tools like Illustrator, Photoshop, SolidWorks, KeyShot.
• Experience with prototyping, manufacturing processes, materials, CMF, and body-worn products.
• Strong communication to present ideas and rationale.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong commitment to leveraging AI tools in daily tasks.
