What you will do

• Partner with CTO on engineering strategy, org structure, and hiring.
• Manage team leads with 1:1s, career development, and performance.
• Serve as technical escalation point and make architecture decisions.
• Respond to production incidents and improve processes like sprints, releases, and postmortems.
• Represent engineering in cross-functional and client discussions.
• Drive compliance (HIPAA, SOC 2, HITRUST) and recruit senior hires.

Requirements

• 10+ years software engineering, hands-on technical leader.
• Expertise in backend, cloud infra, data systems, frontend.
• Managed engineering managers or tech leads.
• Go and TypeScript proficiency.
• PostgreSQL, BigQuery, Redis, Firestore, cloud-native DB patterns.
• GCP experience (or equivalent), Docker/Kubernetes.

Nice to have

• Python proficiency.
• Health insurance/claims experience.
• HIPAA/SOC 2/HITRUST compliance.
• Terraform.
• Event-driven architectures, distributed systems, real-time pipelines.
