What you will do

• Lead a team of high-performing engineers by staying close to the code and conducting rigorous design reviews.
• Investigate root causes of project stalls—such as technical debt or logic gaps—to drive successful solutions.
• Develop technical strategies that balance immediate delivery needs with long-term system scalability.
• Mentor the engineering team through execution, maintaining high standards for code quality and operational excellence.
• Partner with product, design, and data teams to ensure technical feasibility and product health.

Requirements

• Strong foundational background in software engineering with 5+ years of experience.
• At least 2+ years of experience leading teams in fast-paced environments.
• Technical depth and a willingness to dive into logs and traces to understand failures.
• High agency and a proven track record of driving ambiguous situations to a successful conclusion.
• Must be based in or able to work from the Redwood City, CA office (Hybrid).
