What you will do

• Drive the technical strategic vision and roadmap for pharmaceutical development systems within a product group.
• Design implementation paths for custom and SaaS applications, including ELN and LIMS.
• Partner with Product Managers and Principal Engineers to translate architectural designs into 'ready to build' states.
• Implement cloud-native design patterns using Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud.
• Scale an API-ecosystem and implement API-First integration patterns to improve connectivity.
• Identify and rationalize technical debt to support portfolio health and system efficiency.

Requirements

• B.S. in Information Systems or Computer Science.
• 5+ years of experience in architecting and delivering enterprise IT systems.
• Proven experience with pharmaceutical IT systems such as ELN, LIMS, CDS, LES, or platforms like Benchling and Veeva Systems.
• Proficiency in Cloud Native design patterns (Azure or GCP) and API-First integration.
• Strong ability to communicate complex technical topics to stakeholders and lead technology selection processes.
• Strong leadership skills with a proactive bias for action.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of FAIR data principles and GxP-regulated environment compliance (21 CFR Part 11).
• Experience with HPC workload schedulers (e.g., SLURM) and scientific workflow tools like Nextflow or Snakemake.
• Proficiency in DevSecOps, CI/CD, and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Certifications for Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) in research environments.
