Senior Solutions Architect (Retail)

TL;DR

Senior Solutions Architect (AI/Retail): Designing and delivering end-to-end Data & AI solutions for large retail customers using the Databricks Lakehouse Platform with an accent on Generative AI, RAG, and MLOps. Focus on architecting complex proofs-of-concept, defining technical strategies for enterprise clients, and coaching junior architects.

Location: Remote, United Kingdom. Must be based in the UK and able to commute to the London office regularly; travel (20-30%) across UK&I and EMEA is required.

What you will do

• Define technical strategies for large, complex retail customers across the UK & Ireland to achieve business objectives.
• Architect end-to-end Data & AI solutions utilizing Generative AI concepts such as fine-tuning, RAG, and MLOps for LLMs.
• Design and deliver complex proofs-of-concept (PoCs) to demonstrate the value of the Lakehouse Platform.
• Collaborate with leadership and account teams to execute strategic customer engagement plans.
• Mentor and coach junior Solutions Architects on use case prioritization and building technical champions.
• Contribute to the technical community by developing collateral and leading workshops and seminars.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in technical pre-sales or consultancy with a strong background in Data Science, ML, or AI.
• Proven ability to architect solutions using modern Generative AI concepts and tools (e.g., RAG, MLOps).
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, and a willingness to work with Spark.
• Experience with big data analytics and public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Must be based in the UK and able to commute to the London office regularly.
• Strong ability to communicate technical and business value to stakeholders from engineers to executives.
