People Operations (Summer Intern)

Location: Hybrid (Phoenix, AZ): Willingness to work on-site at Phoenix, AZ office at least 2-3 days per week

What you will do

• Manage end-to-end pre-boarding processes, new hire orientation, and audit employment documents for federal compliance.
• Handle general HR correspondence, verification requests, and administrative workflows.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition to source candidates and build talent pipelines.
• Coordinate employee recognition, newsletters, and culture committee events.
• Spearhead capstone project: create an employee FAQ database and present to leadership.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field
• Basic understanding of People Operations functions and best practices
• Strong desire to learn about employment law and People Operations
• Comfortable working in a remote/hybrid environment; on-site in Phoenix, AZ office 2-3 days per week
• Highly organized with excellent problem-solving, time management, communication, and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Google Suite
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality

Nice to have

• Previous internship or administrative experience in a fast-paced organization
• Experience with HRIS/Paycor
