Resident Inspector API-570 (Mechanical Engineering)

Location: On-site at a customer facility in Upstate New York; candidates must be local or willing and able to relocate. U.S. Persons only due to ITAR export-control requirements.

Salary: $40.00–$50.00 per hour

What you will do

• Perform field inspections of storage tanks, pressure vessels, piping systems, and related industrial equipment.
• Assess mechanical equipment reliability and support mechanical integrity programs.
• Prepare calculations in accordance with API, ASME, STI, and applicable standards.
• Write detailed reports documenting inspection assessments and results.
• Manage client relationships and provide direct on-site technical support.

Requirements

• API 510 and/or API 570 certification; API 570 is preferred.
• 8–10 years of experience in mechanical reliability, tank, vessel, or piping inspections, design, or mechanical integrity program management.
• Experience in plant engineering, industrial inspection, operations, maintenance, and process improvement.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel, plus AutoCAD.
• Strong written and verbal communication, reporting, organizational, leadership, and independent-work skills.
• Must be a U.S. Person, pass a drug screen, hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, and be local to or able to relocate to Upstate New York.

Nice to have

• Additional API certifications, including API 510 or API 653.
• NDT experience and additional NDT certifications.
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Structural Engineering or a closely related field.
