Journey-Level Welder

What you will do

• Perform structural, pipe, and fabrication welding on custom industrial machines, process skids, and structural assemblies.
• Use MIG, TIG, FCAW, and SMAW processes on pipe, tube, structural materials, stainless steel, and specialty alloys.
• Read engineer-issued blueprints, weld symbols, fabrication drawings, and job specifications.
• Complete layout, fit-up, tack welding, machine setup, and operation of fabrication tools and fixtures.
• Conduct visual weld inspections, identify defects, and maintain high-quality shop workmanship.
• Support a safe shop environment through toolbox talks, safety audits, OSHA procedures, and 5S practices.

Requirements

• Completed welding apprenticeship or recognized welding program, or 10–15 years of consistent journey-level welding experience.
• Proficiency in MIG, TIG, FCAW, and SMAW welding, including vertical and overhead positions.
• Strong blueprint-reading skills and ability to interpret weld symbols and fabrication drawings.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects, work at heights, and operate in a shop fabrication environment.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Availability for a regular full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with overtime and schedule flexibility as required.

Nice to have

• 6G pipe welder certification.
• Experience with stainless steel, pressure pipe, or specialty materials.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
