Sr Mechanical Engineer

What you will do

• Perform engineering calculations and mechanical design and analysis for assigned project deliverables.
• Develop layouts, design calculations, specifications, and requisitions for mechanical systems and equipment.
• Work on complex deliverables including rotating equipment, mechanical handling packages, fire suppression systems, active firewater systems, and piping engineering.
• Create and review technical drawings, plans, and specifications using CAD software.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, vendors, and contractors.
• Help deliver projects on schedule and within budget while maintaining focus on engineering, fabrication, and construction outcomes.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Experience designing mechanical systems and products, with a strong understanding of engineering concepts and advanced mathematics.
• Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and project collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, solve complex problems, and work effectively with senior stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with hydraulic analysis software such as AFT Fathom or Pipenet.
• Experience specifying and requisitioning pumps, elevators, and fire suppression systems.
• Knowledge of hirify.global products and markets.
