QA Inspector III - BIRD (2nd Shift)

Location: Walpole, Massachusetts, United States; onsite second-shift work in a shop and production environment

Salary: $31.61–$47.42 per hour

What you will do

• Perform advanced dimensional inspections using Zeiss CMM equipment, including setup, program execution, and basic edits.
• Conduct inspections with Leica Laser Tracker and precision mechanical gauges.
• Review inspection results, investigate out-of-tolerance conditions, and support root cause analysis.
• Prepare FAI, in-process, and final inspection reports and provide dimensional data for nonconformance processes.
• Support NDT activities, audits, calibration, and quality documentation reviews.
• Work independently on second shift while coordinating with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams across shifts.

Requirements

• 5+ years of quality inspection or metrology experience in a manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Zeiss CMM experience, including running programs, setting up parts, verifying alignment strategies, and validating results.
• Strong blueprint reading, GD&T, mechanical inspection, documentation, and data-accuracy skills.
• Ability to work onsite on the required second shift, work overtime, and operate in a production environment.
• U.S. citizenship required to access controlled items and articles.

Nice to have

• Calypso programming or experience generating and modifying Zeiss CMM programs.
• Marine, propulsion, aerospace, or precision-machining experience.
• Leica laser tracking or scanning experience.
• Corrective action and NDT experience.
