Salary: $85,000 - $140,000

What you will do
- Conduct hands-on investigations of post-collision forensic evidence, analyzing crashworthiness and occupant protection systems for design, performance, and failures.
- Design and execute static/dynamic test programs, including component-level, sled, and full-vehicle crash tests at in-house or external facilities.
- Perform structural analysis, crash investigations, failure analysis, occupant motion assessment, and computer simulations.
- Prepare technical reports, educational presentations, and technical papers; provide expert testimony at depositions and trials.
- Research and evaluate occupant protection systems like seats, seat belts, airbags, and vehicle structures.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Bachelor’s considered).
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of crashworthiness and occupant protection systems in automobiles, aircraft, boats/ships, trains.
- Real-world experience in design/testing of mechanical systems; crashworthiness experience preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication skills; ability to manage priorities and work independently/in teams.
- Working knowledge of Excel (formatting, equations, coding) and Microsoft Office 365.
