Hardware Engineer (RF Design) - (m/f/d)

Location: Ulm or Karlsbad, Baden-Württemberg, Germany; hybrid work arrangement. Willingness to travel within Germany and internationally on demand, approximately 10–25%.

What you will do

• Develop, test, and verify analog, digital, and RF circuits for telematics and connectivity functions in automotive IVI and ECU hardware.
• Assess customer requirements, OEM specifications, feasibility, BOM estimates, and development effort.
• Define, simulate, and measure RF designs for wireless technologies including Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, V2X, and mobile networks.
• Prepare technical requirements, specifications, documentation, presentations, and supplier component evaluations.
• Act as a technical interface for suppliers and customers and support technology roadmap definition.
• Collaborate globally with systems engineering, construction, quality, manufacturing, procurement, and software teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, telecommunications, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in hardware development, verification, and industrialization of automotive IVI, telematics, connectivity systems, or similarly complex ECUs.
• Knowledge and experience in RF design and wireless technologies such as mobile networks, V2X, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.
• Experience with schematic and layout tools and simulation software such as Mentor Graphics and SPICE, plus Microsoft applications.
• Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS, DNG, or ALM is beneficial.
• Good spoken and written English is required. German is beneficial.

Nice to have

• Experience with ASIL and ISO 26262-compliant hardware designs.
• Knowledge of spoken and written German.
