What you will do

• Lead mechanical engineering for new product development and platform programs across North America and China.
• Partner with Product Management, Project Management, Quality, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain from concept to production.
• Oversee designs for manufacturability and implement across in-house and contract sites.
• Manage engineering resources to meet quality, schedule, and cost goals.
• Mentor engineers in technical mastery, collaboration, and innovation.
• Champion best practices for performance, sustainability, and validation; lead technology research.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years in product development engineering + 4 years leadership.
• Proven success building high-performing engineering teams.
• Strong collaboration across interdisciplinary teams.
• Expertise in materials and processes: plastic molding, die casting, extrusion, machining, steel fabrication, wood assembly, magnetics.
• Experience with coatings, finishes, plastic part design, tooling.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, PDM, FEA, DFMEA.
• Strong organizational, communication skills with global mindset; MS Office.

Nice to have

• Experience in loudspeaker or audio product design/manufacturing.
• Designing suspension and rigging systems.
• Proficiency in COMSOL, MATLAB, Python, Confluence, Jira.
• Knowledge of ISO 12100, EU Machine Regulation, Eurocode, North American standards, IEC/UL/EN standards.
• Understanding of material performance under loads; patents/publications; passion for music/sound.
