What you will do

• Lead and mentor a distributed team of 3-5 software engineers, guiding their career growth and technical development.
• Contribute directly to code development and feature implementation for Precision LIMS, Lab ePortal, and Logistics ControlTower.
• Collaborate with product leadership to shape the roadmap, prioritize workloads, and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Set engineering standards, conduct code reviews, and ensure best practices for architecture, testing, and deployment.
• Oversee software releases and participate in production deployments using automated CI/CD pipelines in partnership with DevOps.
• Ensure adherence to internal engineering standards, security guidelines, and regulatory frameworks like CSV and 21 CFR Part 11.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 6+ years of professional software development experience with 2+ years in a leadership or mentorship capacity.
• Must be based in the United States.
• Hands-on proficiency with Python, Django (or similar), and JavaScript/TypeScript with a modern frontend framework (Vue, React, or Angular).
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Git-based source control (GitLab, GitHub, or Azure DevOps), and agile development processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and SOPs.

Nice to have

• Experience in life sciences, healthcare technology, or validated environments.
• Understanding of Computer Systems Validation (CSV) and regulatory expectations such as 21 CFR Part 11.
