Technical Systems Specialist

TL;DR

Technical Systems Specialist (Pensions): Drive development of core administration and calculation systems including ALPS Administration System with an accent on aligning new developments with existing functionality and best practices. Focus on gathering requirements, completing analysis, supporting solution delivery, and continuous improvement using LEAN and Agile methodologies.

What you will do

• Work with senior technical colleagues to ensure new system development aligns with existing functionality and best practice
• Collaborate with product owners, business experts and technical teams to gather requirements, complete analysis and support high-quality solution delivery
• Support continuous improvement using LEAN and Agile methodologies to enhance processes and customer outcomes
• Maintain requirement traceability and support full lifecycle testing, including preparing and reviewing testing deliverables
• Provide PRT expertise to loading and administration teams, including scheme migrations and new scheme setup
• Review system and process changes to assess impacts on customer journeys and service delivery
• Act as SME on IT and change initiatives to enhance customer support and experience

Requirements

• Hybrid work in Glasgow
• Pension, Business Analysis or System Testing qualifications (or equivalent experience)
• Strong knowledge of BPA Admin systems, business analysis and testing practices
• Understanding of LEAN and Agile methodologies
• Knowledge of Defined Benefit pensions and financial services industry
• Ability to analyse and solve technical and business problems
