Systems Analyst (API Integration)

What you will do

• Create and deliver technology solutions that address business needs through integration, automation, and effective use of technology capabilities.
• Own technical specifications, translate business requirements into user stories or functional specifications, and define acceptance criteria.
• Gather requirements from business stakeholders and shape solution options with product owners, architects, developers, testers, and software vendors.
• Design and review integrations across multiple applications and technologies, including API specifications for SOAP and REST services.
• Support development and testing by acting as a subject matter expert, triaging failures, analysing defects, and identifying root causes.
• Drive continual improvements that increase delivery efficiency, solution quality, and reuse.

Requirements

• Experience integrating complex software applications and understanding application functionality, workflows, and processing behaviour.
• Ability to analyse source and target systems, functional logic, data models, and data flows.
• Experience designing, documenting, and reviewing robust and scalable SOAP and REST API specifications.
• Ability to translate business requirements into clear technical designs and specifications.
• Experience leading collaborative workshops for requirements gathering, solution design, and problem-solving.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts and design implications to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Understanding of database schemas and experience writing SQL.
• Exposure to insurance or other regulated financial services.
• Understanding of Azure cloud architecture, principles, and components.
