TL;DR

Advanced EMC Expert (Automotive): Define EMC strategies, design rules, and best practices for complex automotive electronic systems with an accent on schematic/PCB design, mechanical integration, grounding, shielding, and simulation-driven optimization. Focus on leading risk assessments, root cause analysis of complex issues, validation strategies, and homologation support across projects from concept to production.

Location: Bucharest, Romania (Hybrid). Willingness to travel as required.

What you will do

• Act as EMC subject-matter expert and technical lead across development projects.
• Define EMC concepts, design rules, and best practices at system, module, and PCB levels.
• Perform EMC design and optimization using simulation tools like HFSS, CST, or Spice.
• Lead EMC risk assessments, design reviews, and validation strategies including pre-compliance testing.
• Analyze complex EMC issues, drive root cause mitigation, and interface with customers/suppliers.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to standardization of EMC methodologies.

Requirements

• Master’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related discipline.
• Extensive experience in EMC engineering for automotive or complex electronic systems.
• Deep knowledge of international and OEM-specific EMC standards/regulations.
• Proven hands-on experience with advanced EMC measurements and troubleshooting.
• Strong system-level understanding of high-speed interfaces and power distribution.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Willingness to work in hybrid environment in Bucharest, Romania and travel as needed.

Nice to have

• Experience influencing system architecture and platform-level EMC concepts.
• Automotive OEM or Tier-1 supplier background.
• iNARTE EMC certification or equivalent.
