Director (Value Creation) (Consulting): Leading operationally focused value creation initiatives for underperforming and healthy businesses with an accent on EBITDA and cash flow impact. Focus on moving from financial diagnostics to the detailed design and execution of performance improvement plans in partnership with Private Equity sponsors.

Location: Hybrid in the USA (Detroit, Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, New York, San Francisco, South Florida, Southern California, Washington, D.C.)

Salary: $190,000 – $265,000

What you will do

• Lead operational and financial diagnostics to identify key performance drivers through detailed variance analysis.
• Quantify and prioritize EBITDA and cash flow improvement opportunities to drive enterprise value.
• Develop and implement actionable, bottom-up improvement plans with clear KPIs and milestones.
• Partner with executive leadership, Boards, lenders, and Private Equity sponsors to align on value creation plans.
• Drive cross-functional initiatives across COGS and SG&A optimization, supply chain, manufacturing, and procurement.
• Manage and mentor engagement teams while ensuring quality and timely delivery of results.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in value creation, financial/operational consulting, or performance improvement.
• Proven track record of leading EBITDA and cash flow improvement initiatives.
• Deep operational finance expertise, including P&L management, working capital optimization, and cost structure redesign.
• Experience identifying and executing value creation opportunities in partnership with Private Equity sponsors.
• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives across supply chain, manufacturing, and commercial functions.
• Must be based in or able to work from one of the specified US office locations.

Nice to have

• Experience conducting Quality of Earnings (QoE) analyses.
• Background as an operator or experience in shop floor/plant-level environments.
• Experience in industrials, manufacturing, distribution, or business services sectors.
• MBA or advanced degree.
• Familiarity with data analytics and AI-enabled tools for financial analysis.
