What you will do

• Lead the design and development of exploratory sleep-related products and sub-systems from early ideation to functional prototypes.
• Act as an engineering generalist contributing to mechanical design, electronics, sensing technologies, and system behavior.
• Translate loosely defined user, clinical, and technology needs into clear design concepts and testable hypotheses.
• Design, build, and iterate rapid prototypes to validate comfort, usability, sensing performance, and manufacturability.
• Plan and execute targeted verification and experimentation activities to guide design direction.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners across Industrial Design, Electronics, Firmware, Software, and Regulatory teams while mentoring junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Biomedical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related discipline.
• Significant experience in product design and development, from concept generation to early verification.
• Strong hands-on capability in CAD, physical prototyping, and iterative development.
• Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in fast-moving, ambiguous environments using sound engineering judgement.

Nice to have

• Experience with wearable devices, consumer electronics, or sensing-enabled products.
• Practical understanding of software and firmware concepts to collaborate effectively with those engineers.
• Exposure to sensing technologies such as EEG, PPG, motion, or bio-signals.
• Experience engaging with suppliers and manufacturing partners during early feasibility and learning-build phases.
