What you will do
- Lead the design, prototyping, and evaluation of transplant devices, integrating advanced technologies.
- Oversee projects from concept through feasibility, verification, validation, and design transfer.
- Partner with marketing, regulatory, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure commercial feasibility.
- Review design outputs including schematics, CAD models, and PCB layouts while managing design controls.
- Recruit, mentor, and manage a team of high-performing engineers.
- Manage relationships with external vendors, consultants, and partners.
Requirements
- Must be based in the US.
- Bachelorβs degree in engineering (Mechanical, Biomedical, or related).
- Minimum 8 years of engineering experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role within the medical device industry.
- Understanding of medical device regulatory standards (ISO 14971, IEC 62366, ISO 10993, IEC 60601).
- Experience with design principles for injection molding and plastic manufacturing.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
- Willingness to travel up to 15%.
