Business Analyst (DoD Space): Providing acquisition and financial management support to a Department of Defense customer with an accent on Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and cost/schedule analysis. Focus on translating EVM concepts into practical tools, developing Power BI dashboards, and evaluating contractor performance metrics.

Location: Patrick Space Force Base, FL. U.S. citizenship is required. Relocation expenses are not compensated.

Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year

What you will do

• Apply EVM principles to analyze cost, schedule, and performance data in non-EVM environments.
• Review acquisition planning documents (RFPs, CDRLs) for compliance with EVM requirements and management best practices.
• Develop and present analysis trends using Power BI visualization tools to enhance stakeholder understanding.
• Produce acquisition reports including SARs, DAES, and PMRs reflecting cost and performance insights.
• Evaluate contractor cost, schedule, and risk performance using GAO Scheduling Assessment and DCMA 14-point assessments.
• Conduct risk-based Estimates at Completion (EACs) and predictive forecasts using GAO Cost Estimating & Assessment guides.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required (H1-B and other visas are not sponsored).
• Minimum 9 years of government acquisition, finance, or program management experience within a DoD organization.
• Minimum 5 years of DoD Space experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Management, Business, Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and their application.
• Ability to undergo a Federal background investigation for access to classified materials.

Nice to have

• Comprehensive Cost and Requirement System (CCaR™) experience or certification.
• Experience with data visualization and dashboard development in Power BI.
