Salary: 150,400 - 188,000 CAD per year

What you will do
- Lead and mentor the team through changes and challenges, providing hands-on coaching and maintaining productivity and morale.
- Manage projects with shifting priorities, ensuring high-quality delivery and quick adaptation to evolving processes.
- Define strategy and vision by aligning team priorities with organizational objectives and advocating for beneficial changes.
- Provide technical guidance through architecture discussions, code reviews, and maintaining technical excellence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to achieve team and organizational goals.
- Own hiring process, including interviewing and building a diverse, high-performing team.
Requirements
- 5+ years software development experience as individual contributor with technical competence
- 1-3 years direct people management or tech lead experience
- Experience building websites with Drupal, CMS, and/or Next.js, preferably with open source contributions
- Working knowledge of Python, Golang, or similar; understanding of CS fundamentals, scalable cloud architectures, databases (MySQL, MariaDB), and caches (Redis, Memcached)
- Clear communication skills and familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
