Senior Technical Program Manager (QA & Validation) (Systems & Tooling / Automotive): Designing and operating the Quality Management System (QMS) and validation toolchain for Honda’s next-generation connected vehicle platform with an accent on traceability, measurable quality signals, and release readiness criteria. Focus on building automation and integrations using Python and APIs to connect Jira, Jama, and TestRail.
Location: Hybrid in Mountain View, CA (In-office Mondays and Tuesdays). Core hours: 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM PT (Mon-Thu).
Salary: $124,000 - $182,000 a year

What you will do
- Design and implement a scalable Quality Management System (QMS) ensuring end-to-end traceability from requirements to release.
- Own and configure the validation toolchain (Jira, Jama, TestRail), including workflows and automations.
- Build automation and integrations using Python and APIs to eliminate manual work and enable real-time insights.
- Define and enforce validation readiness criteria and release gates based on measurable quality signals.
- Lead system-level validation and bug triage processes across mobile, backend, APIs, and vehicle systems.
- Identify and mitigate risks in requirements, test coverage, and environments before they impact release.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in Technical Program Management, QA/Validation, or Systems Engineering.
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent technical field.
- Deep expertise in configuring Jira (workflows, automations, JQL) and ALM tools like Jama.
- Hands-on experience writing code (Python, scripting) and building system integrations.
- Strong understanding of backend systems, APIs, and distributed architectures.
- Must be based in Mountain View, CA, and able to work in-office on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Nice to have
- Experience in automotive, IoT, or connected-device ecosystems.
- Familiarity with ASPICE or ISO 21434.
- Background as an SDET, QA Automation Engineer, or Systems Engineer.
- Japanese language proficiency.
