What you will do

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including preparation and review of journal entries and GL account reconciliations.
• Supervise the General Ledger team, establishing performance goals, assigning accountabilities, and conducting annual appraisals.
• Ensure all accounting records conform with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal financial controls.
• Review and approve calculations for intercompany agreements, royalties, bonuses, and commissions.
• Supervise the preparation of monthly financial statements and lead P&L fluctuation analysis with the leadership team.
• Coordinate with Finance Operations, Legal, and Tax departments to update intercompany agreements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or an MBA.
• Minimum of five years of experience in public and corporate accounting, preferably with multi-national operations.
• Two years of management experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP; CPA certification is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office (advanced Excel) and ERP experience (JD Edwards preferred).
• Ability to work in a hybrid schedule in Rockville, MD, USA.
