Staff Accountant

What you will do

• Reconcile, analyze, and review general ledger accounts to ensure data accuracy.
• Maintain general ledger accounts by preparing financial statements and adjusting entries.
• Prepare reports that address internal and external audit requirements.
• Collaborate with supervisors and managers to ensure timely and thorough engagements.
• Recommend improvements to the efficiency of internal processes and deliverables.
• Handle ad-hoc assignments and special accounting projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting (Required).
• 2-4 years of experience in a CPA firm.
• Experience using UltraTax CS, Checkpoint, Microsoft Office Suite, and Intuit products.
• Experience in small business and tax preparation for various entities (partnerships, corporations, trusts, multi-state returns).
• Ability to reliably commute or relocate to Woodbury, NY.
• CPA preferred or CPA candidate.
