is a high-growth healthtech startup modernizing the dental supply procurement process through an AI-powered e-commerce platform.
What you will do
- Act as the primary Dental Billing Subject Matter Expert (SME) to guide the product team in automating billing tasks.
- Serve as the main point of contact for dentists and office managers to gather feedback and resolve billing issues.
- Develop and implement scalable standard operating procedures (SOPs) for interacting with the AI platform.
- Build and scale the billing organization, managing both full-time and outsourced team members.
- Monitor and report on KPIs to ensure the effectiveness of billing processes.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ADA code changes and payer requirements.
Requirements
- Must be based in New York City (NYC) to collaborate with the founding team.
- 5+ years of experience in dental billing, handling complex claims, appeals, and end-to-end workflows.
- Expert knowledge of CDT codes and insurance archetypes (PPO, HMO, Medicaid).
- Deep familiarity with PMS systems including Dentrix, Eaglesoft, and Open Dental.
- Ability to thrive in a startup environment with ambiguity and rapid iteration.
Nice to have
- Experience with large Dental Support Organizations (DSOs) or boutique billing firms.
- Background as a Product Specialist or Implementation Lead at a health-tech company.
- Certification in Dental Billing (CPB) or Coding.
