Salary: $280,000 – $430,000 + Equity

What you will do

• Build and develop a high-performing team of infrastructure engineers through hiring, coaching, and performance management.
• Define the technical strategy and roadmap for compute, networking, CI/CD, and IaC across SaaS and enterprise environments.
• Remain hands-on by reviewing designs, contributing code, and managing critical migrations and on-call escalations.
• Architect multi-cloud and on-prem deployments, including single-tenant VPC topologies and air-gapped environments for regulated customers.
• Establish reliability, security, and cost standards and build an operational cadence for platform health.
• Implement paved paths and CI/CD systems to enhance developer velocity and consistency across product teams.

Requirements

• 2+ years of engineering management experience leading infrastructure, platform, or SRE teams.
• Deep technical expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) and modern CI/CD systems.
• Proven track record of delivering complex, multi-quarter infrastructure initiatives through ambiguity.
• Must be based in or able to work on-site in San Francisco or New York City.
• Strong commitment to AI-assisted engineering and the use of AI coding tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with air-gapped or single-tenant deployments for regulated industries (finance, healthcare, government).
• Background in security and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, PCI DSS, or FedRAMP.
• Experience building internal LLM-based tooling or agents to accelerate engineering work.
• Experience with large-scale multi-cloud or cloud-to-cloud migrations.
