What you will do

• Guide and develop a team of 10-12 platform engineers through coaching, feedback, goal-setting, performance management, and accountability.
• Foster inclusive culture, support well-being, align efforts with goals, remove obstacles, and enable high-impact results.
• Collaborate with development, operations, security, and architect teams to deliver scalable, secure platform solutions incorporating feedback.
• Contribute hands-on to design, architecture, and implementation of platform features.
• Manage budgets, resource allocation, and optimize costs for cloud and on-premise infrastructure.
• Define and enforce standards, documentation, automated workflows, compliance, and promote knowledge sharing across teams.

Requirements

• Legal authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship; may require government background check or security clearance.
• Must reside in one of the specified US states and work from contiguous United States.
• 7+ years in platform development, 3+ years in formal management leading sizable technical teams and strategic initiatives.
• Experience leading platform/infrastructure teams, establishing vision, delivering robust platforms.
• Advanced skills in cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), IaC (Terraform), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), scripting (Bash/Python), CI/CD, observability.
• Strong collaboration, communication, analytical thinking, security principles, risk management, regulatory compliance.
