Software Engineer (Next.js)

TL;DR

Software Engineer (Next.js): Build and maintain financial services web platforms using Next.js, React, and TypeScript with an accent on performance, reliability, and partner-grade quality. Location: Hybrid schedule based in South Charlotte, NC or New York, NY office (Tuesday through Thursday), remote Mondays and Fridays. No visa sponsorship or transfer (H1-B, F-1, OPT, STEM-OPT, TN excluded).

Salary: Charlotte, NC Hybrid: $80,000–$140,000 per year; New York, NY Hybrid: $100,000–$175,000 per year (total cash compensation).

What you will do

• Build and maintain financial services web platforms using Next.js with focus on performance, reliability, and quality.
• Deploy and operate applications in multi-cloud Kubernetes environments, contribute to IaC, CI/CD, and deployment automation.
• Apply SRE practices including observability, alerting, incident response, and operational maturity.
• Write well-tested code, participate in code reviews, and collaborate with designers, business, and data science teams.
• Build agentic workflows and automation for coding, ticket management, compliance, and operational tasks.
• Use AI-assisted tools daily, partner on AI solutions, and evaluate emerging AI/ML tooling.

Requirements

• 3–5 years software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js; Next.js strongly preferred.
• Experience with Kubernetes in production, multi-cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) a plus.
• Understanding of web architecture: RESTful APIs, microservices, SSR.
• CI/CD pipelines (Harness, GitHub Actions), testing strategies, Agile/Scrum.
• Experience building automation/agentic workflows; proficiency with AI tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, etc.).
• Clear communication, cross-functional collaboration.
