Development Manager (Renewable Energy)

Salary: $148,500 to $168,300 per year

What you will do

• Own project development timelines and budgets from prospecting to Notice to Proceed.
• Secure local, state, and federal land use permits for wind development.
• Manage internal and external stakeholders, contractors, and consultants.
• Identify and mitigate risks while ensuring project profitability and financial drivers.
• Procure interconnection and transmission rights; negotiate real estate agreements.
• Support greenfield prospecting, M&A due diligence, tax abatements, and community agreements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Sustainable Energy/Engineering or related field.
• 3 years experience in wind/renewable development, utilities, interconnection, permitting, contracting.
• Manage project budgets, life cycles, milestones, financial models (Capex, Opex, IRR, DCF).
• Review real estate docs, surveys, title reports; knowledge of leases, easements.
• Manage multiple projects portfolio across land, environmental, engineering, commercial.
• Proficiency in GIS (ArcGIS, ArcPro, Google Earth Pro) for wind constraints analysis.
• Experience in M&A transactions in renewable/wind energy.
