TL;DR
Lead Risk and Insurance Analyst (Energy): Conduct high-quality analysis to support development, legal, construction, and operations activities from an insurance perspective, managing contractual risks and implementing insurance programs. Focus on developing analytical methods for renewals, analyzing complex data on business changes, providing claims support, and maintaining relationships with brokers and vendors.
Location: Louisville, CO (Telework permitted 2 days per week. 10% domestic and international travel)
Salary: $112,000 to $135,000 per year (Standard Corporate Benefits provided)

What you will do
- Conduct insurance analysis for development, legal, construction, and operations, managing contractual risks and insurance programs.
- Develop analytical methods for Risk and Insurance Management Office renewals and payments.
- Communicate with Finance, Operations, HR, Purchasing to ensure compliance.
- Collect and analyze data on business changes like new assets, sales, and financial obligations.
- Provide technical support for claims, coordinating with brokers, adjusters, and business areas.
- Maintain relationships with internal departments, brokers, insurers, and vendors.
Requirements
- 4+ years in risk insurance management or related field
- Review and analyze insurance portfolios for coverage, redundancies, premiums, and terms.
- Evaluate Casualty, Property, Financial, Cyber policies for gaps in wording, exclusions, deductibles, limits.
- Data analysis and reporting with Power BI or similar for underwriting exposures and risks.
- Review contracts (PPA, EPC, MSA, Land Lease, LLC Agreements) for insurance, indemnity, liability.
- Budgeting, forecasting, payment processing (PR, PO, invoice tracking).
- Risk assessments for M&A projects with mitigation strategies like insurance or contractual transfers.
- 3+ years analyzing claims frequency/severity/loss ratios, monthly reporting/invoicing, developing procedures/forms.
