Location: Remote (US), preference for candidates near Boston or New York hubs. Distributed across American and European time zones.
Salary: $180,000–$200,000

What you will do
- Lead a high-performing team of 5-7 engineers through hiring, coaching, performance management, and clear ownership expectations.
- Drive team delivery against goals, aligning with company strategy, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
- Guide technical decisions on model development, biomarker pipelines, evaluation, and production systems.
- Scope, prioritize, and manage team initiatives, including roadmaps, timelines, and stakeholder communication.
- Develop and refine team processes for efficient execution, coordination, and scaling.
Requirements
- Located in the US, with preference for near Boston or New York.
- Experience managing mid-sized ML/algorithm engineering teams, with track record in coaching, hiring, and maintaining team health.
- Deep knowledge in ML model development, production deployment, and model maintenance to guide decisions and tradeoffs.
- Proven leadership in complex, ambiguous work with cross-functional dependencies in regulated domains.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and process improvement skills.
- Experience with regulatory submissions, validation, reproducibility, documentation, and model governance.
