What you will do

• Define and execute global Body Manufacturing Engineering strategy aligned with corporate and product objectives.
• Lead multiple teams of engineering leaders and subject matter experts across global locations.
• Shape long-range plans for the Body Shop of the Future, balancing innovation, cost, and risk.
• Drive strategic digital manufacturing initiatives, including virtual builds and simulation processes.
• Provide executive-level oversight for complex launch, quality, and manufacturing issues.
• Manage cost strategy and performance through supplier engagement and optimized launch execution.

Requirements

• Demonstrated success leading large, global manufacturing engineering organizations or portfolios.
• Deep knowledge of automotive stamping, body shop processes, manufacturing systems, and tooling.
• Proven experience with manufacturing strategy development and launch leadership.
• Must be authorized to work in the US; GM does not provide immigration sponsorship for this role.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.

Nice to have

• 10+ years of progressive experience in body structures, body systems, or quality management.
• Advanced degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Track record of building high-performing global organizations and developing leaders.
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
