What you will do

• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to maintain consistent flow and high-quality outputs on the manufacturing floor.
• Perform root cause analysis for complex engineering challenges in heavy-duty bus manufacturing.
• Provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) input to design teams to enhance efficiency.
• Develop and optimize production processes using lean manufacturing principles.
• Evaluate and address rapid requests from the supply chain to ensure timely responses to production needs.
• Prepare and maintain process documentation to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience within the engineering industry.
• Proficiency in CAD software and familiarity with BOM structures.
• Experience with hands-on troubleshooting, product assembly, prototyping, testing, and validation.
• Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and the ability to create mechanical drawings.
• Must be able to work on-site at the Livermore, CA plant.
