What you will do

• Provide independent oversight of market, credit, and liquidity risks across the investment portfolio
• Advise on Matching Adjustment eligibility and Solvency II investment requirements
• Assess risks for large, complex asset transactions and new investment proposals
• Deliver risk opinions, challenge, and recommendations to senior stakeholders
• Validate due diligence and underwriting by investment teams
• Collaborate with asset origination teams on pipeline management
• Support risk leaders, committees, and Boards with insight and governance

Requirements

• Experience in first or second line investment-focused role in insurance industry
• Strong knowledge of Matching Adjustment and fixed income asset classes
• Experience assessing complex risks like private credit or structured transactions
• Understanding of UK insurance regulation including Solvency II
• Knowledge of risk management frameworks, policies, and appetites
• Strong analytical, judgement, communication, and report-writing skills
• Collaborative approach in complex environments
