Salary: $140,000 - $180,000 a year

What you will do

• Lead architectural design and solutioning during discovery and early implementation, partnering with healthcare customers to uncover requirements.
• Provide oversight across full lifecycle and post-go-live, ensuring alignment with best practices, standards, and platform capabilities.
• Assess requirements and recommend optimizations for performance, data ingestion, bundle design, and terminology mapping.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, QA, Agile Leads, and TAMs to resolve questions and validate patterns.
• Adapt designs to new constraints, scalability challenges, and deployment issues.
• Participate in customer engagements like design reviews, workshops, and escalations; contribute to internal governance and documentation.

Requirements

• 10+ years in software engineering, technical consulting, or solution architecture for complex healthcare implementations
• Proven customer-facing architecture experience with payers, providers, or government healthcare organizations
• Experience with real-time data ingestion (Kafka, Camel, Pulsar) and FHIR-based workflows
• Strong knowledge of clinical data models and standards (SNOMED CT, RxNorm, LOINC)
• Working knowledge of cloud-native environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (HELM, Docker, Kubernetes)
• Ability to evaluate trade-offs and adapt designs; excellent communication skills
• Proficiency with diagramming tools like Lucidchart

Nice to have

• Familiarity with U.S. regulations (CMS, HIPAA)
• Experience with Smile CDR or FHIR servers
• Knowledge of Inferno, NIST validators
• TOGAF or equivalent certification
