What you will do

• Drive sales growth for the Nature Journal Portfolio in Japan by supporting sales reps and winning new business.
• Identify new sales prospects and develop strategic approaches based on research focus and content gaps.
• Prepare and present comprehensive customer assessments and journal recommendations to stakeholders.
• Utilize pricing models to provide ROI comparisons and suitable options for customers.
• Maintain and report on the sales pipeline for Nature Journals in the Japan region.
• Collaborate with the global Solution Specialists team to share best practices and sales tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science or similar degree.
• Established experience as a product expert or sales rep, preferably in science content products.
• Strong understanding of the Scientific, Technical, and Medical (STM) publishing market.
• Experience working in research-related departments within academic or government institutions.
• Business level English proficiency.
• Ability to travel within Japan (10-50% of work time) and occasionally abroad.
