American commercial electric vehicle (EV) company building a first-of-its-kind platform to support the demand for medium-duty EVs and Hybrids.

What you will do

• Design and maintain company cost accounting policies, procedures, and systems.
• Analyze standard vs actual production costs, identifying and explaining variances.
• Prepare regular cost reports, including COGS, gross margin, and variance analysis.
• Oversee inventory costing for raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods.
• Perform monthly WIP reconciliations and manage inventory reserves, including E&O and LCNRV analyses.
• Collaborate with AP, Production, Operations, Engineering, and Logistics departments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Hands-on experience with standard costing in a manufacturing production environment.
• Experience in start-ups or high-growth companies, comfortable with ambiguity.
• Proven track record of building and retaining high-performing teams.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/MRP systems.
